Chapter Twenty SevenA Chapter by Imagination-mageIt was five in the morning
when Bethany, Kamui and Subaru waited by the docks with bags on the backs. “Where’s the boat?” Subaru asked. “I-It’ll come soon.” “What’s that?” Kamui asked, his blood red eyes gleaming. As the figures came into
view, the twin’s eyes widened. Twin dragons approaching them and the twins
prepared for a fight. Before lunging, The dragons landed easily
on the docks, Sarah hopping off and approaching them, looking at the vampires
fearfully. “O-Okay.” Sarah said nervously. “This is our ride home?” Kamui asked. “Their names are Hiccup and Patricia.” Sarah explained.
“They’d appreciate it if you called them by their names.” “I looked forward to riding with you, Hiccup, Patricia.”
Subaru said politely and the dragons allowed him to stroke them on the snout. “Just follow me Hiccup.” Sarah called back, Hiccup making
a snorting noise as a reply. Sarah kept her hands on the neck of Patricia,
occasionally poking her in the side of her neck to indicate where to turn or
yelling over the raging wind when to go faster or slower. As they flew through the smoke covered skies,
Patricia began to act up along with Hiccup. “Patricia?” Sarah asked. Patricia didn’t listen as
she suddenly dived with Hiccup following. The passengers clung onto the
reptilian beasts, the force of the winds pulling them up. Suddenly, something
inside Sarah flashed before her eyes, her irises turning a dark purple and a
purple bubbled surrounding herself, Bethany, Subaru and Kamui in it. She instantly
fell asleep, her head hanging. “Sarah, Sarah, wake up!” “Sarah!!” Dragon Queen….War….Rachel….Jaya….Help…. a voice
suddenly said, bouncing around the inside of the bubble. Sarah’s thoughts…. “ “I’m fine.” “What happened, we’re in a mob of dragons!” Kamui said.
Looking closely, “What the hell….” “You okay?” “I-I think so…” Sarah said. Patricia landed and hid
behind a large rock, Hiccup following. The purple bubbles popped silently,
letting the twins race over to “Are you okay?” Subaru asked. “I’m fine.” “What’s going on?” Sarah whispered, she turned the corner
and peaked out, watching as the dragons dumped their spoils in one after
another. The dragons swooped away and landed atop their favorite perch, hiding
into the shadows. As Sarah scanned the area, she spotted Cilan have a blind
fold over his eyes, his hands tied behind his back and trying to get his hands
free. “Cilan…” Sarah muttered. “Huh?” “N-Nothing, I need to get you out of here.” Sarah said. “What?” Kamui asked. They suddenly heard a
bellowing roar echoing through the kingdom. Sarah took them by the forearm and
pulled them down, shushing them. “Stay quiet!” Sarah demanded. She got up, stroking Hiccup
along the neck and he followed. She told Patricia to stay where she was as
herself and Hiccup came out. “Sarah…My
medicine…” a voice bellowed. Sarah
quickly ran to them but slipped, but Hiccup caught her before she fell on her
back. Sarah quickly raced to the pit and called down “U-Uh, Yasmine you need to
calm down.” “Holy s#^! that’s Yasmine?” “I’m
tired….” The beast that was Yasmine
growled. “Yasmine just stay calm.” Sarah said, taking a large
first aid kit from behind a boulder and dug through it. Looking closely,
Yasmine appeared weak and tired her blackened scales and her spikes going up
and down in agitation. She laid her head on the ledge and groaned. Sarah pulled
out a single red pill and said “Open up.” Yasmine grumbled and
opened her jaw, Sarah timidly tossing the pill in. Once Yasmine swallowed the pill,
she grumbled and slithered back into the pit. Sarah raced back to “What the hell was that?!” “Come on!” Sarah said, pulling her along and hopping
aboard Hiccup and taking flight, Patricia following with the twins on her back.
They escaped Edolas and made their way through the mists and towards Pandora. ~ * ~ Rylie was rallying the troops, getting them in order and
ensuring they were ready for battle. She was counting the weapons till she felt
a tap on the shoulder. She turned around, finding Soul in battle armor. “I wanted to wish you luck.” Soul said. “I’ll be there to
back you up.” “Thanks Soul.” Rylie said. Soul took out his scythe
and got ready, a sly smirk on his face. Rylie took first fire, firing her
bullets but Soul easily deflected them with his scythe blade, charging forward.
The two soon engaged in hand to hand combat, Soul knocking the guns from her
hands and trying to land a kick on her shoulder but Rylie shielded her shoulder
with her forearm. She grabbed his ankle and flipped him, laughing all the
while. Soul spun, bringing Rylie down and the two were soon rolling around in
the grass to see who could hit the other. Soul was soon on top, pinning Rylie
down. They gazed down into each others eyes, breathing heavily. Soul then
leaned down and kissed Rylie, making her freeze. The kiss was short and sweet
as Soul pulled away and soon rolled off, on his back. “So, you think we’ll win this battle?” Soul asked, trying
to hide his red face. “We have to.” Rylie replied. The wind blew by, sending
the smell of rain and leaves pass by. Rylie then heard the sound of a twig
crack, making her go on alert. Soul was too relaxed and she didn’t want him to
panic. “Hey Soul, can you check if the men are ready for
battle?” Rylie asked. “Sure, where’re you going?” Soul asked. “Uh, I just wanna take a walk.” Rylie replied and dashed
off. Soul headed back, thinking that kissing her so suddenly must’ve scared her
off. Rylie trotted through the forest trying to remain quiet. She had grabbed her
guns along the way, getting herself ready. She heard something dash by, making
her spin around and point her guns up. “Whose there?” Rylie demanded. Something suddenly pounced
from the bushes, grabbed her around the neck and chocked her, trying to cut off
her air. Rylie started beating the unknown attacker with the head of her gun
and kicking at the air. She then saw the unknown man or woman take out a
sapphire jewel, shoved it in her mouth and tried making her swallow. The jewel
went down and soon the attacker ran off. Rylie grabbed at her throat and tried
coughing the jewel back up but the jewel just slithered down her throat until
it dropped into her stomach. She felt her eyes dilate, hearing voices all over
until the weather began to rain, the raindrops soon muttering kill, kill, kill, kill…. Rylie rose from her spot and walked back to the kingdom,
her eyes a deathly color now. She returned and declared “We’re going to kill
the Dragon Queen….” Soul turned back and
noticed the dark aura surrounding her. He squinted towards her and soon asked
“Rylie, you okay?” Rylie turned, smiling a
shark toothy and replied “I’m perfectly fine
Soul….” © 2011 Imagination-mageAuthor's Note
