Chapter SixA Chapter by Imagination-mageRylie boarded out of the car that led to the gaming competition, Dria, Allen and Lavi following behind and examining the large stadium that truly resembled the Roman coliseum. Rylie raced over to a man who stood in the ticket booth, dressed as a Zelda character. She approached him and said “I need VIP tickets inside.” “Okay, that’ll be fifty dollars each.” The man replied, Rylie paying him and him giving her the tickets. “Remember, the gaming days don’t start till tomorrow. See you soon.” Waving, Rylie found the others at a small café; Allen eating eight or ten scones while the other two drank away frappuchino’s. “So?” Lavi asked, Rylie handing him his ticket. “We go in tomorrow.” Rylie said. “The website said Kazuma was only available on opening day because his avatar is experiencing problems.” “Let’s just hope you’re right…” Allen said. As they began to eat their snack, Rylie spotted someone watching them. A girl with flowing black hair and wearing a buttoned up shirt and navy blue skirt, almost a uniform, was peaking at them from behind a building. Rylie glared towards her, furiously sipping her drink until Dria said “Hey, you okay?” “Someone’s watching us…” Rylie whispered, Allen and Lavi looking her way. The girl noticed that their stares were soon locked on her so putting on a brave face, she made her way towards them. “I can help you.” She said. “How so?” Dria asked. “I-I know where your friends are…” The girl said. “Who’re are they?” Rylie asked. “Bethany Coady, Yasmine Lambert, Rachel Wilder, Siana Berg, Riley, Tallon, Sarah Hollenbeck and Jaya Miller.” The girl said. “I was sent here to help you.” “We already have help.” Rylie said bitterly. “You don’t understand, I know where the head computer is.” The girl said. “Head computer?” Allen asked. There was suddenly an explosion, causing the five teenagers to cover their heads. Allen sat straight up; taking Dria by the arm and pulling her along saying “Come on!” “What, what?!” Dria asked. Rylie then heard the familiar rearing sound of a chainsaw, making her shiver at the familiar sound. Spinning, she saw the one she had been dreading ever since she left her house. “There you are~” Grell sang, whipping his chainsaw through the air. Rylie’s eyes dilated as instinct took over. She dashed off, the others following. “Split up everyone!!” Lavi called, everyone taking different directions. The girl and Rylie ran down an alley way, finding a metal ladder and quickly climbing up the steps. Grell came in suddenly, his chainsaw scratching against the wall and sending sparks. “Climb, climb, climb!!” The girl said angrily, pushing Rylie up and making her go faster. The two made it to the roofs, racing along them with the unknown girl leading the way. She led Rylie down a pipe and into a shop where they hid in the racks of clothing. Grell passed by, looking around for them. After only giving glances from place to place, soon passing by. Rylie was breathing heavily, the girl wiping the sweat from her forehead and saying “Satsuki.” “Huh?” Rylie asked. “My names Satsuki and my friend was taken by Love Machine…” The girl, Satsuki, said. The two emerged from the clothes rack, exiting the shop. Satsuki looked around, soon handing Rylie a small slip of paper. “Follow this address.” Satsuki said and ran off. Rylie just stood there, soon opening the paper and finding that an address was written inside it. Rylie’s phone then started to vibrate, making her jolt. Digging into her pocket and pulling it out, she saw Allen was trying to contact her. “Where’re you?” Rylie asked. We’re at the mall, we hid inside a furniture store. Allen replied. Lavi’s with us as well, is that girl still with you? “No, but I think she’s gonna help us…” Rylie said and made her way to the furniture store. ~ * ~ “You look so awesome!!” Riley said. “I wanna upgrade soon!” “I bet you will.” Siana said, sounding a little too proud of herself. “Yeah, that’s good for you.” Jaya said. “But now were back to square one.” Looking over, Yasmine and Kazuma were now stuck together again. They tugged, only pulling the other with them and rewarding the other with death glares. Everyone gave a sigh, Rachel saying “We need to get rid of this soon.” “I don’t wanna be stuck to this jerk forever!!” Yasmine whined. “You think this is a walk in the park for me?” Kazuma asked, glaring. “I’m stuck with a whining feline who doesn’t take this seriously!!” Yasmine punched his shoulder, Kazuma returning it but twice as hard. The two were soon neck in neck, pressing foreheads together and growling angrily. “You wanna start something?” Yasmine asked through gritted teeth. “Let’s start something.” Kazuma said angrily. “With or without these shackles!!” The shackled suddenly grew bigger and brought the two down. They frustratingly lifted the shackles, holding it up with their knees now. “What ~gasp~ a ~groan~ burden…” Yasmine huffed out. “And its all ~huff~ your fault ~huff~ baka usagi!!” Kazuma only growled in reply. Riley then came between them, hugging Yasmine around the waist and said with large puppy dog eyes “I don’t like it when you argue.” “Ah, so cute!!” Yasmine said, Kazuma only rolling his eyes. Riley glared, giving Kazuma a warning. The shackles shrunk, Yasmine realizing it and crying “WE’RE FREE!!” She hugged them both and spun them around, Kazuma’s face lighting up red. “We’re not free, fully.” Kazuma said pulling away and standing as far from her as he could. Bethany spotted the red tainting his white face and the fact that his eyes refused to make contact with Yasmine’s. She smiled mischievously, nudging Jaya in the side and pointing it out. Jaya smirked, Sarah walking over and examining the shackles. “Well, maybe complimenting each other and actually being nice will remove them…” Sarah suggested. Kazuma and Yasmine looked at the other, soon turning away and muttering “Like that’ll happen.” Sarah only gave a sigh of defeat and said “I somehow knew you’d both say that.” Yasmine looked down at Riley, who released her and frolicked elsewhere which was towards Tallon. “Any ideas?” Riley asked. “None so far.” Tallon said, leaving on a rock which suddenly sank in the ground and a pit suddenly opened under Tallon’s feet. He fell, Riley freaking out and racing to their others. “The Earth ate Tallon!!” Riley said. They raced to the scene, finding the hole. “Tallon, can you hear me?!” Yasmine called. No response. “We gotta go in after him.” Rachel said, sitting down and slipping, falling into the hall. Yasmine and Kazuma went next, not saying a word to each other; Jaya and Bethany next, Riley and Siana, leaving Sarah. Sarah sighed and mumbled “I remember it was always Yasmine and Sarah.” She hopped in, sliding down the tunnel and soon coming to solid ground. Spider webs hung around them, Sarah having to suppress a scream when she saw a large one the size of her upper body on it. “Sarah, over here.” Siana called quietly, she was shivering. Looking around, Sarah then realized they were in the nest of spiders making her want to vomit. Bethany was looking closely at them, completely fascinated by both the size of the spider and the closed eyes. “This is beyond awesome.” Bethany whispered. “Bethany, this is disgusting.” Jaya said bitterly. “We’re surrounded by giant beasts that make me wanna vomit just by looking at them.” “Oh my god…” Siana said, a little high pitched. She was gripping the handles of her two guns, Bob and Mary, just in case one of the spiders decided to pick a fight. “I found Tallon!” Rachel called, some distance away. Everyone quickly trotted over to her only to be welcomed by the biggest spider that would’ve made Godzilla paralyzed by its sheer size. It was a female black widow, resting on the largest spider web in the whole underground tunnel. By the feeling of the wind pulling and pushing at them, along with the sound of droning, it was asleep. “Guys…” a voice called. Looking closely, Tallon was wrapped in a cocoon of the sticky silk. He was able to free his hand, so he waved it sheepishly. “Yasmine, Kazuma, stay here.” Jaya ordered. “Rachel and I have got this covered.” Rachel nodded, the two walking out and towards the thread that led to Tallon. The others remained where they were, Bethany pulling out her mace. “I have my weapon?” Bethany questioned. “Well it did get sucked in when we came here.” Yasmine said. Riley looked around, suddenly spotting the spiders begin to rouse themselves awake. He tapped Siana on the shoulder and pointed towards them. “They’re waking up!!” Riley whispered. “What, but how?!” Siana asked. “The webs, Rachel and Jaya are sending vibrations through the webs!” Bethany said. “Which means….” “AAAAHHHH!!” Jaya suddenly screamed, the monstrous spider awake and come towards them. Rachel and Jaya had reached Tallon, the three shrieking. The others quickly went to their need, Riley finding an opening and racing towards them. The others were held up by the army of spiders. “Riley, look out!!” Yasmine shouted the giant swatting at him with their long legs. As Riley launched himself towards the spider, a wave came at him. One of the spiders glowed a bright blue, catching his attention. He kicked at it, making it through the swarm with only a few scrapes and slashed open the spider with his bare hands. A blue orb lay in the spider’s corpse. He picked it up and was shrouded in a blinding light. When the light faded, he wore all black. A long sleeved black top and parachute black pants, tied tightly around his ankles, a black kimono over with long sleeves, yellow hopes imprinted on the fabric. His iris red and his cornea turning black, his hair turning black with his bang covering his right eye, tied at the end; ears on the side of his head and he looked down upon the army of spiders, intimidating them. With ninja like movements, he swiped away the spiders, racing up the web and towards Rachel and Jaya who were fighting off the spider monster. He jumped, pulling up his sleeve and revealing his new weapon. A gauntlet was on his hand, which sprang long daggers. He gave a battle cry and slashed at the head of the spider, causing it to turn away from its prey and focus on him. “Get Tallon and go, I’ll catch up!!” Riley called, the spider trying to bite at him. Jaya slashed the webs off Tallon with ease, Rachel helping him up and the three made their way down the web. When they reached the bottom, Yasmine called “Riley, I’m cutting the web!!” “WHAT?!” Riley cried. “Trust me!!” Yasmine called back. Looking at Yasmine determined face gave Riley hope. He nodded and continued dodging the spider’s attacks; Yasmine pulled Kazuma along to the webs attachments. She unleashed her long talon claws and swiped, cutting the webs. Yasmine continued cutting the webs, the weights of the giant and the swarm soon cutting the rest on their own. Riley quickly ran up the web and jumped, reaching out. He almost didn’t make it, but a group of hands latched onto his outstretched one. Looking up, it was Sarah, Yasmine, Kazuma, Jaya and Siana. “And, pull!” Bethany said, grabbing onto any free limb and helping with hauling them up. They soon were all safely up, Riley on his back and breathing heavily. “Nice upgrade.” Siana commented. “Thanks, I always knew I was secretly a ninja.” Riley replied. He was suddenly ambushed in a hug by Yasmine, Kazuma sadly getting sucked into it. “I’m so sorry, I almost got you killed!!” Yasmine said, hugging him tightly. “All that matters is that I’m alive.” Riley said. “I forgive you.” They suddenly heard a screech, Tallon suddenly saying “How bought we leave?” “Good idea.” Bethany said and they made their way out of the spiders den.© 2011 Imagination-mageAuthor's Note
