Chaptire TwoA Chapter by Imagination-mageNine Years Later
“That idiotic Reaper!” the Queen Lenora said angrily, pushing all things off a coffee table and angrily slamming her fists on the surface. “Honey you have to calm down, we’ll sort this out.” Her husband, the king, said. Her husband was a handsome man with luscious gold hair, wearing a kimono that had a pattern of lightening, earth, water and fire. Her husband took her hand and spun her around so she wasn’t pacing the room and was now facing him. “The stress isn’t good for the twins.” Her husband said, rubbing her stomach. Lenora slapped her husbands hand off her stomach and said “I have every right to be stressed, one I have another pair of kids coming up soon, two the Reaper just made things tens times as worse and three paperwork keeps piling up!” Lenora grabbed the table and flipped it over angrily, going into a rage as her mood swings began kicking in. She suddenly crumbled to her knees and burst into tears. “I don’t know what to do anymore Alphonse.” Lenora said, wiping her eyes of tears. The king approached his wife, kneeling beside her and placing his arms over her shoulder. He pulled her in and kissed her neck. “We’ll sort it out, Kygore’s still hospitalized so it gives us the opportunity to question him on our problem.” Alphonse said. He helped Lenora up and down the castle hall. Alphonse was suddenly stopped when he felt something cling to his leg. “Are you gonna see Uncle again?!” said a young boy, having spiky gold hair matching his fathers with brown tip, deep blue eyes which was unusual and wearing long robes that draped over his hands. “Kuro, you can’t see him.” Lenora said bluntly. “Meema, please!” their son, Kuro, pleaded. “He talks to me in my sleep meema!” Lenora’s eyes widened, shocked. She pried her son from Alphonse’s leg and said “You’re coming with us!” Feeling triumphant, Kuro followed his parents down the hallway. They soon entered a hall of titanium, the air cold as the walked by. They turned left, till they came to a bolted door, guarded by two Sarunian soldiers. The soldiers instinctively attacked the queen and king held up a badge, revealing that they were the royals. The soldiers stopped in place, bowing to them. “We would like to see my brother.” Lenora said. One of the guards stood up and unlocked the bolted door. The door hissed as cold air suddenly poured out. The king, queen and young prince walked inside, finding Kygore lying down on a metal bench, looking up at the window high above, his back facing them. “Little sister, it’s been a while.” Kygore said, he now had bandages wrapped around his torso. “I have questions Kygore, questions that need answering.” Lenora said getting right to the point. Kygore turned over and face them, eyes suddenly falling on the young Kuro who looked at him with child innocence. “You brought my nephew as well?” Kygore asked, sounding rather delighted. “May I have a hug?” Kuro bolted towards his uncle, embracing him in a hug and smiling widely. Kygore hugged his nephew tightly and soon released him, Kuro running back to his parent’s sides. “You know little sister you’re quite lucky.” Kygore said. “I may never be able to meet my daughter or son.” “Kygore, what’s wrong with your wife?” Lenora asked through gritted teeth. She hated how her brother would sink so low as to kidnap a young woman and turn her into one of his own. “She’s pregnant, daughters probably born as we speak.” Kygore said. “If that’s so, Suro could raise the child like a demon!” Alphonse said. “The only way to prevent it is to seal Suro away.” Kygore said. “Seal her within the child and then leave the rest up to the child.” “You want this to happen?” Lenora asked. “Even demons want peace Lenora.” Kygore said, his red eyes gleaming. Kygore looked at Kuro, saying “Kuro, you know your faith…” Kuro’s smile was suddenly wiped off his face, turning into a hard frown and his eyes narrowing. The royals left the cell and went back to their living quarters. Lenora pressed a button on the table, the large screen turning on to reveal Earth in its current condition. The landscapes were basically in ruins, the waters rising till people were resorting to living atop the mountains. A demon suddenly sprung from the waters, having her bottom half like a fishes with a jagged fin having her long blue hair covering her upper half, her long black nails digging into the mountain and swallowing up any living being. She roared before diving back into the sea. The screen then blinked, revealing a message was trying to be sent. “It’s from Jared.” Alphonse said. He pressed a green blinking button and the Queen of Jared was soon on screen. I am terribly sorry…. The Queen said. “Rose I want to hear that from your husband.” Lenora said bluntly. He already left to Earth to sort out the problem. It’s going to be hard since Suro’s already cheated death more than once. The Queen, Rose, said. “He left to take care of her?” Alphonse said. “But he doesn’t know how to defeat her!” That’s what I’m worrying about…. Rose said. I’m hoping that he’ll come home soon. “I’ll go assist him.” Alphonse volunteered, standing up. “I’ll go and try to seal Suro; hopefully I’m not too late.” Lenora jumped up and hugged her husband, kissing his cheek and whispering “Be careful…” ~ * ~ The Reaper was currently being thrown aside as the demon angrily roared. “Stay away!” Suro cried angrily, she was guarding the entrance to the cave where they last met. Deep inside, you could hear the sound of an infant crying, louder and louder driving the Reaper inside. “Just give me the child!” The Reaper said angrily, only to be swatted away with the sea demons tailfin. She cackled evilly as she approached, about to kill the reaper. “They say that if there is no Reaper, all hell will break loose.” Suro said darkly. “Wonder how that will be.” As she was about to kill him, her hand was suddenly stopped by a sword. It slashed at her palm and she backed away screeching in pain. Shielding the Reaper, was the king of Sarunia holding the legendary Sword of the Sun, or known on Earth Excalibur. With a ferocious battle cry, Alphonse charged with his sword raised. Suro simply arched her arm and a wave over powered the king giving her the opportunity to retreat back inside her cave. Drowning, Alphonse desperately tried breaking the surface but he was constantly pulled down. He then saw a pale hand extending towards him. Out of desperation, he grabbed it and was pulled out. The hand belonged to the Reaper, his hand instantly drying and patting Alphonse’s back as he coughed out the sea water. “Look, alone we can’t defeat her.” The Reaper explained. “Truce for now?” The Reaper extended his hand and Alphonse simply looked at it. His wife would be so irate if she found out that he had assistance from an enemy but then again Earth was dying out. Alphonse took the Reapers hand and shook it saying “Deal.” Taking a lungful of air, the two kings dived into the ocean swimming towards the demons entrance which happened to be sealed. The Reaper lifted his scythe and slashed open the cave, the two swimming in till light shined down on them. They quickly broke the waters surface only to lay eyes on the sea demon who was currently looking down into a giant oyster, she had shrunk down to the size of a human. Tiny hands were flailing in the air as the sea demon whispered down to it. “UNHAND THE CHILD!” Alphonse said, Suro not even raising her head to look at him. Suro slowly turned, suddenly looking old and weak. Her hair was covering her eyes as she tried regaining her balance. “This…is…mine…” Suro said weakly, she crumbled to her knees. “The only thing…that I can truly love….so Reaper….did you ask your wife?” The Reaper stayed silent, Suro’s prediction had completely escaped him. He looked at his feet and heard Suro chuckle darkly. Suro turned back to the infant who looked at her with deep blue eyes, a smile on its face as it eagerly reached out to Suro. Suro scooped the baby up and cradled it in her arms, bringing the childes head to her cheek and kissing her forehead lightly. “I am ready….” Suro said, sounding rather sad. “My daughter will stay with a spiritual woman; grow up an innocent child till her time comes.” She weakly approached the two men and handed the baby to Alphonse. She smiled down at the baby who giggled, still reaching out to her. Suro backed away from the child who began to weep. She took both men’s weapons and jabbed herself in the chest, her blood splattering the three. The two kings watched in shock as Suro said her last words “But…she’ll be a…handful….she will…be…mine….” Suro then erupted in a black mist, which quickly went towards the child and seeped through her stomach. The child cried louder as its mother disappeared, leaving a seal on the plump stomach. Alphonse looked down at the child, whose eyes were flooded with tears, leaving small trails on the blood that splattered the baby. “It’s alright…” Alphonse promised, being nudged by the Reaper. “It is not alright!” The Reaper said bitterly. “That thing needs to be killed!” Alphonse looked into the deep blue eyes of the baby who sniffle and clenched its small fists, his hands trailing down to the seal on its stomach. He sighed and said “We can’t….There’ll be a lot of prophecies about this child.” “Such as?” The Reaper asked. “She’ll be the master of your daughter; my children will look after her as her father dies in prison. She’ll be a child of many sad events but she’ll always smile through it, everything…..” The Reaper stayed silent at his words, so the Sarunian king knew about it as well. He looked at the child who somehow fell asleep the blood of her mother somehow soothing her. “What do we do with it?” The Reaper asked. “Can you make a basket?” Alphonse asked.
“This is the cheesiest thing ever!” The Reaper said bitterly as the two hid behind the bushes. Alphonse shushed him, the basket that contained the baby wrapped with a numerous amount of blankets to keep the infant warm. The kings had placed the baby in another location in a small village high in the mountains where the Earth Spirits roamed. The house they picked contained a kind woman with two delinquent adopted children. Alphonse wiped the sweat from her forehead and picked up a handful of pebbles and began pelting the door with them. The door suddenly opened, a young girl with unusual green hair opening the door wearing a baggy shirt and boy shorts. Her eyes were a light green, showing she was blind. She searched the area trying to identify the intruder by sound. She suddenly heard soft crying and she looked down at the baby in the basket. The little girl lifted an eyebrow and identified the infant. She felt her face, her soft golden dirty brown hair. The baby suddenly woke up, coughing in her hands and gripping the little girl’s fingers and giggling. The little girl stiffened, as she stared blankly at the baby. She slowly leaned forward and connected foreheads with the baby. “Nicky, come inside dear!” a voice called from inside. The little girl turned and called back “Coming Grandma BB.” The little girl, Nicky, picked up the basket and ran inside. The door closed behind her and the two kings rose from their hiding place. They dusted themselves off from the leaves that clung to them and left the village. “That went well.” Alphonse said, smirking smugly at the Reaper. “Oh shut it, they could be cannibals for all we know!” the Reaper said, receiving a laugh from Alphonse. “She’ll be fine.” Alphonse said. “I wish you good luck.” “Why?” The Reaper asked. “There are rumors going on about your youngest.” Alphonse clarified. “I’d keep an eye on her.” “She can’t even harm a fly.” The Reaper said. “You never know….Kygore went bad and he has such a bright future.” Alphonse said and beamed back to his home planet. The Reaper thought over his daughters recent activities. Yes, Bubbles had been around Kidd more then he wanted, she would occasionally prank Dominic, and she had been visiting the Sarunian planet. What could possibly get her to become someone to be wary about? ~ * ~ “Daddy, daddy, look what I made!” An enthusiastic Bubbles said happily. The Reaper snapped out of his trance and looked down at his daughter who presented a cookie in her hand. He smiled, Bubbles was currently six hundred years old, seven years old in human years, and going on eight in a few months. The Reaper had been thinking over about what Alphonse said five years ago but he still couldn’t believe it. “It looks delicious Bubbles.” The Reaper said, rising from his throne and going towards his daughter. “May I have a bite?” Bubbles gladly presented the cookie to her father who bit into it. It was good and he smiled widely to his daughter. “It is delicious.” Her father said, Bubbles soon attacking him in a hug. “Bubbles are you in here?” a voice called. A woman appeared in the doorway, wearing a beautiful white gown with flowing blond hair and grey eyes, her hands clasped in front of her and walking inside. “There you are.” She said, Bubbles giggling as she ran to give her mother a hug. “Rose, beautiful as always.” The Reaper praised, receiving a kiss from his wife. “Bubbles, go play with your brothers I need to speak with your father.” Rose said. Bubbles looked at her mother brightly and replied “Okay!” She dashed out of the throne room and went to find her brothers. Rose turned to her husband, her smile disappearing causing the Reaper to worry. “What is it?” The Reaper asked. “One of our children will betray us….One of our children will be banished….Only one will stay true to us…” Lillian said. “I had a vision; the culprits were blurred but their abilities were easy to see. Wind, Death and a throne…” The Reaper sighed, massaging his forehead and mumbling “Which ones is the question.” You never know….Kygore went bad and he has such a bright future. Alphonse’s voice echoed in his head. He got up and looked over at Rose who was fiddling with her dress like she always did when she was nervous. “My scythe will then be placed into solitary confinement.” The Reaper said, his scythe suddenly disappearing. “Only I will know where it is.” His wife smiled shyly at him but thought I hope my vision is wrong….
Bubbles was joyfully running through the halls of the castle, playing a game of hide and seek with Kidd, he had been acting strange lately. He had been confined in his room most of the time but Bubbles just thought it was because he was nervous. His “Coming of Age” ceremony would be coming up soon when he would be taking throne becoming king of Jared and Reaper of the underworld. Bubbles had somehow managed to talk him into a game of hide and seek, she was hiding and he was seeking just like they used to. Bubbles hid behind a corner when she spotted Kidd quickly pass by and search the hall she was currently hiding in. He passed by, he seemed to be having fun as well. Bubbles deemed it okay to run out from behind the corner and ran down the hall. I see you…. A voice echoed through her thoughts stopping her in her tracks. She looked around and tried identifying the voice. I see you….the voice repeated, Bubbles beginning to panic now. She leaned against the wall, suddenly falling back and hitting her head hard on the ground. She turned finding herself in a dark room, resembling a graveyard with hooks hanging from the ceiling, an eerie grey mist rolling along the ground. Bubbles picked herself up, walking aimlessly through the unknown room. The only way out had closed up, Bubbles hugging herself and shivering from the cold room. She walked around aimlessly till she spotted something that caught her eye, her fathers scythe. Hypnotized, she ran up to it and orbited around it. She let her finger go up and down the handle, feeling a slight tingle at the contact. Feeling more confident, Bubbles gripped the scythe feeling a sudden electrical power pour into her. She held the scythe in her hands, a grin widening on her face as she started to cackle insanely. © 2011 Imagination-mageAuthor's Note
