Chapter SixA Chapter by Imagination-mageYasmine awoke in her bed, scary because she didn’t remember falling asleep. Yasmine squirmed under her sheets, feeling faint pains in her arms and side. Yasmine huddled closer to her pillow, turning over only to see a mop of pink next to her. Yasmine bolted up, ripping the sheets off to find a girl with unruly short milk chocolate hair wearing a white night gown that match Yasmine’s and looking like an elementary school student. “OH MY GOD!” Yasmine screamed, waking the girl up who had light brown eyes and also screaming from the shock. The girl looked at Yasmine with fright, bowing low and saying “I’m sorry.” She then began to panic on Yasmine’s lap, making Yasmine feel rather guilty that she scared the poor soul that happened to be in her bed. Yasmine patted her back and said “I-It’s okay.” Urgent footsteps suddenly came racing towards Yasmine’s room, the door flying open to reveal Raven- seeing the intruder, his eyes glowed neon green as he charged towards her, grabbing Yasmine and pulling her close as he held a dagger at the girl’s throat. “Who are you, state your business!” Raven said, his gloved hand covering Yasmine’s mouth. “M-My n-name i-is U-U-Uru.” The girl, Uru said nervously taking a big swallow. “I-I’m here to p-p-p-protect the g-g-g-girl.” “Raven, let go!” Yasmine scolded angrily, biting Ravens hand which made him release her. Yasmine crawled towards Uru and said “It’s okay Uru, no need for stuttering.” Uru hugged Yasmine around the waist, Yasmine glared at Raven and said between gritted teeth “Really, a dagger?” “Master Brandt originally sent me here to get you for breakfast, he wishes for a meeting.” Raven said. For the past few days, Brandt had been trying to make conversation with Yasmine only to lead up with either food in his face or Yasmine being sent to her room for the rest of the day without food. It was getting old and Yasmine’s skin color was beginning to become pale. “I have a question Raven.” Yasmine said. “This morning my arms and side have been hurting, what happened?” “Brandt will explain everything at breakfast.” Raven said. Raven opened up the mahogany double doors and revealed Brandt, dressed in a black leather jacket, wearing tight black pants and boots on his feet, his dark skin turned to a more sun kissed color and his hair turned a silvery white. His feet were kicked up on the table, one leg crossed over the other and he was drinking a sparkling drink. Yasmine walked inside the room, Uru following as they got a seat across from Brandt. Uru was about to eat something but Yasmine stopped her “Don’t eat anything.” Yasmine said strictly. “I didn’t poison the food!” Brandt said. “You haven’t eaten for over three days, how are you still alive?!” “Meditation.” Yasmine said bluntly. “You have to eat sometime.” Brandt said coldly, he began to dig into his food and Uru began to fidget in her seat, feeling out of place. Yasmine gripped Uru’s arm and said “So I have a few questions.” “What would that be?” Brandt asked. “Well, my sides and arms have been hurting lately. Do you know the cause?” Yasmine asked, her eyebrow was raised as she glared at Brandt. “It’s because you’re under medication.” Brandt said, dabbing his mouth with a napkin. “Why?” Yasmine asked. “We’ve begun to notice that you’ve been going through change, you’ve become more aggressive, and you’re always hungry-“ “AM NOT!” Yasmine scolded. “Oh please, I know about your stash.” Brandt said, with a slight chuckle before mumbling teasingly “Meditation…” “Because I can’t trust the food you make!” Yasmine said. Brandt stood up and brought his table knife with him. Uru shuttered, the grip on her arm tightening. Brandt was finally in front of Yasmine, playing with the knife in his hand. He suddenly pointed the knife at Yasmine’s throat who quickly grabbed the knife with her hand that made Uru scream in shock. Yasmine’s hand had transformed into a dragon claw, her fingers turned to deadly black claws, her hand covering in scales and looking larger. Yasmine withdrew her hand and examined it. “We have been injecting you with a special medication that is powering your hex.” Brandt said. “So far, its reptilian or dragon like. We’ll see in further tests.” Yasmine hands returned to normal, her hand turning into a fist. Uru looked at Yasmine in fear and asked “Y-Yasmine-sama.” Yasmine only gripped her wrists; she was shaking but turned to Uru with a smile. “I’m okay….I just need…rest…” Yasmine said, she rose from the chair and left the room, Uru staying close to her. Brandt simply watched them leave the room, slurping his orange juice. Uru desperately tried keeping up with Yasmine who seemed to be walking faster than usual. “Yasmine you don’t seem alright…” Uru pointed out. Yasmine twirled around, a giant smile on her face. “This is perfect!” Yasmine whispered excitedly. “Uru this is my ticket out of here!” “H-How so?” Uru asked, greatly confused. “Uru if I’m able to transform into a dragon, I’ll get wings!” Yasmine said. “I can fly away and find my friends! Ha, that stupid Brandt, thinking he’s all that!” Uru couldn’t help but smile, seeing Yasmine looking at the bright side brightened the mood. As Yasmine continued her rant about how awesome it would be to fly, Uru led her towards her room. ~ * ~ Rachel was eating pineapple on the beach, watching the waves slowly make their way onto shore then back to the sea. Rachel was currently wearing a one piece swimsuit, a long shawl tied around her waist. Her hair was down, flowing in the ocean breeze and the sand warming her toes. Rachel suddenly heard the sound of feet racing towards her, turning around she found May- Rin racing towards her. She was panting, looking like she was panicking. “Th-there’s something in your bed!” May-Rin declared, breathing heavily. “Oh you mean Oz; yeah he’s been here for sometime…” Rachel said plainly. “Sometime?!” May-Rin asked. “How did he get here?!” Rachel only shrugged as she bit into another ring of pineapple. A boy made his way towards them having unruly blond hair, a childish face, wearing baggy shorts and a Hawaiian buttoned up vacations shirt. He stretched as he came close to Rachel, sitting beside and snagging a ring of pineapple for himself. “I woke up this morning to a screaming maid.” Oz told Rachel. “Was it May-Rin?” Rachel asked, pointing at May-Rin. Oz turned back, eying May-Rin looking her up and down with squinted eyes. “Yeah that’s her.” Oz said finishing his ring. “It was like a banshee was screaming in my ear.” “How did you get here?!” May-Rin asked. “I don’t know.” Oz replied. “One moment I’m in Russia then the next I was sleeping in her bed. She didn’t freak out as badly as you did.” “Well you must leave; this is Master Coran’s private spot!” May-Rin said, pointing towards a boat. Oz ignored her and said “I’m here to assist Rachel; I’m basically the best friend that you hate.” May-Rin began fuming, soon leaving the two. Oz took another ring, eating it and asking “So what brilliant plan do you have in store?” “Well obviously you were transported here.” Rachel said. “Just got to find out how.” “Or you could be all goody till the times right.” Oz suggested. “What do you mean?” Rachel said, Oz rolling his eyes. “I’m saying be Coran’s little girl, make him believe that your putty in his hands.” Oz said. “How’s that gonna help us escape?” Rachel asked. “Simple, he’ll give you whatever you please ~cough~ money.” Oz said with a sly smile. “You buy a couple of plane tickets over the internet and slip out, towards the airport and to your friends, easy enough for ya?” Rachel thought about it, yes she wanted to get off this island and find her friends but she also didn’t want to be Coran’s little doll. She shuttered and mumbled “I-I don’t know.” “You wanna be stuck on this island with Coran for the rest of your life?” Oz asked, taking the last pineapple ring and eating it away. Oz got up and soon left Rachel to return inside. The waves suddenly crashed into Rachel, causing her to roll back and on her back, completely drenched in the sea water. “What else can I do?” Rachel wondered, she got up and picked up the plate that use to contain her pineapples and headed back inside the house. As she walked in, Coran looked down at her as if fuming. “You brought a guest?” Coran asked, he didn’t look angry but his twitching eye brow was saying otherwise. May-Rin was standing behind him looking guilty a bit with Oz being handled by the scruff of his shirt. “U-Uh….h-he…” Rachel stuttered, then she saw Oz wink at her. Thinking quickly went to her knees and covered her face, making fake sobbing noises. “Yes I let him in, he just looked do cold and weak all alone, he has no parents!” Rachel fibbed. “I’m sorry!” Coran’s cat ears dropped to the side a bit, feeling sorry for Rachel. He placed his giant paw on top of Rachel’s head and said “I-It’s okay….He can stay.” “R-Really?” Rachel asked, adding a hiccup to her little drama. “Really?!” May-Rin asked, completely shocked. “Yes, she needs a friend to stay beside her wile I work.” Coran said and left. “I’ll be going now, May-Rin, ensure that the two are comfortable.” May-Rin looked rather shocked, Oz ripping himself from her hand and racing over to Rachel. She stood back up; her head low so May-Rin wouldn’t see that she was holding back laughter. Oz escorted her back to her bedroom and closed the door behind them once they were inside. Rachel stood up straight, receiving a slap on the back from Oz. “See?!” Oz said happily. “He felt all sorry for you and totally let you have your way. He obviously doesn’t know how to deal with girls and emotions.” “Do you?” Rachel asked, scoffing a bit. “Of course!” Oz said and hopped into her bed. He laid back down and continued. “If you keep acting all dramatic like that, he’ll give you the money you need to find your friends for sure.” “Isn’t that what horrible people do to rich partners?” Rachel asked. Oz thought about it, then replied “Yeah, but we’re doing this for a cause!” Rachel sighed, sitting beside him and twiddling with her fingers. She suddenly remembered her phone, bolting up and racing towards the dresser and fishing through her underwear drawer. She found her phone but saw she received no text messages. She groaned in frustration and said “No one replied!” “Rachel, think logically.” Oz said. “The boys that are holding them captive have probably confiscated their phones. Just keep yours hidden.” Rachel sighed, sitting back down next to him and said “What else do I gotta lose?” Oz smiled like a child and said “We’ll be out of here before ya know it.” Rachel leaned back and looked at the ceiling, noticing that there were glow in the dark stars, glowing faintly. I hope the others are okay… Rachel thought. ~ * ~ Rylie was currently in her practice room, punching a punching bag that Misaki was holding steady for her. “Come on Rylie fight like a man!” Misaki scolded as Rylie tried punching the punching bag with all her might. “I’m a girl!” Rylie said angrily and karate kicked the side of the punching bag accidentally hitting Misaki in the side. “Ack!” Misaki gagged, getting kicked away from the punching bag and rolling over the matted floors and slamming into the wall. Rylie covered her mouth, quickly racing towards Misaki and asking “You okay?” “Y-Yeah…perfectly fine…” Misaki managed to say, getting up and dusting himself off. “I think that’s enough practice for today….I gotta get brunch ready for the young master.” “He’s still asleep?” Rylie asked, following him out of the practice room. Misaki came to the kitchen, it was large, two fridges, two sinks, a large counter in the middle of the place and nicely tiled walls and floors. Misaki wrapped an apron around himself and got the food out. “Yeah, he normally sleeps till like five.” Misaki said, and got three bowls out. “He eats this much?” Rylie asked, looking at all the food that was spread out. “Well not normally, you haven’t eaten yet too so might as well make brunch for all three of us.” Misaki said. “Can I help?” Rylie asked. “I love cooking and I’ve cooked for myself once or twice.” “I don’t know, the food that I make is a bit advanced.” Misaki said. “Well what is it?” Rylie asked. “Well since its Wednesday, the master craves beignets, scrambled eggs, flapjacks, a strawberry banana smoothie and lastly some chai tea.” Misaki said. “I’ll make the scrambled eggs and….flapjacks I mean pancakes.” Rylie said. “Great, an extra hand will make this meal go by faster.” Misaki said. Misaki handed Rylie the eggs and other ingredients for the pancakes. He started to make the beignets, strawberry smoothie and chai tea. Rylie mixed the eggs and started on the pancake batter. Once finished, she started making the pancakes. Once the two were finished, they had a counter filled with food. Rylie wiped the flour from her forehead and sneezed. Misaki laughed as he loaded Charlie’s food on a tray. “I’ll take his food to his room.” Misaki said. “You can get started eating.” Rylie nodded, already grabbing a plate and filling it with food. Misaki took the platter up the stairs and disappeared. Rylie had already begun drizzling her pancakes with syrup, digging into the food. As she stuffed one beignet in her mouth, she heard something bang against the window. She stopped, looking behind her and finding a girl knocking on the window, wearing a tight dark v neck pink shirt with black designs on it, baggy pants and having relaxed black hair that was tied in a small pony tail, large pink headphones around her neck and holding a pink and black skateboard. “Y-Yasmine?” Rylie guessed, squinting her eyes. “What, no, my names Kat!” The girl, Kat, said irritably. “Now open the window!” “Why should I, I don’t know you!” Rylie said, quickly looking back and making sure Misaki was still in the master’s room. “I have information on your friends.” Kat suddenly said, only getting the window to open for her and Rylie grabbing her by the scruff of her shirt. “What’re their names?!” Rylie questioned quickly, her fists raised just in case the imposter was trying to fool her. “Rachel Wilder, Bethany Coady, Jaya Miller, Sarah Hollenbeck and Yasmine Lambert.” Kat said quickly trying to shield her face. Rylie lowered her fist, pulling Kat in and bringing her to the table. She pushed her plate of beignets to Kat and said “Eat.” Kat immediately started scarfing down the food, Rylie waiting for her too finish. Kat eventually stopped eating, dabbing her lips with a napkin and Rylie saying “What do you know about my friends?” “I know their location and what the boys want with you guys.” Kat said slyly. Rylie looked back towards the staircase, expecting Misaki to come down any minute. “How do you know their location?” Rylie asked. “I’m not who you think I am.” Kat said, suddenly pulling out a badge from her shirt and saying. “I’m apart of a police agency whose mission is to being those boys back where they belong.” “Which is where?” Rylie asked. “Planet Zelda.” Kat replied. “They were sent here to retrieve an unknown artifact that disappeared from our planet hundreds of years ago. They’re hoping that if they can collect all six of them, they’ll be able to turn back time.” “Why the hell would they wanna do that?!” Rylie asked. “So that planet Zelda and planet Earth can merge, they want to rewrite history for the two planets.” Kat explained. “But I need your help.” “How am I supposed to help?” Rylie asked, till she heard footsteps coming down the stairs. She looked back seeing that Kat had disappeared and taking her place was a midnight black cat. Misaki returned with an empty tray, rubbing his stomach and looking hungry. “The worst thing about him is that he forces you to watch him eat and he takes his god damn time!” Misaki said. He spotted the cat and awed at it, apparently not having the opportunity to see such a creature. “Aw a cat!” Misaki said, reaching out and scooping the cat up so he was cradling it. “Where’d you find it?” “Uh, it jumped in through the window.” Rylie lied, pointing to the open window. “Weird, I could’ve sworn I closed that. Oh well, good thing I didn’t otherwise we wouldn’t be able to have this gorgeous creature with us!” The cat purred in Misaki’s arms, Misaki smiled happily. “What should we name it Rylie?!” Misaki asked gleefully. “I was thinking of naming her Kat…” Rylie said, her eyes looking around. “Hmmm, alright Kat it is!” Misaki said happily. “Well I have chores to do, take care of Kat for me while I’m gone.” He handed Kat the cat to Rylie then headed out of the room, tying on a white apron and leaving the room. Once gone, Rylie went up to her room taking Kat with her and closed the door behind her. “Okay, explain yourself!” Rylie whispered. “You must locate the Time Gears.” Kat said. “Time Gears?” Rylie questioned. “Yes, with the Time Gears all together you can travel through time!” Kat said. “Uh….okay?” Rylie said. “And destroy them.” Kat said. © 2011 Imagination-mage |
