Sprx's Prov.A Chapter by Imagination-mageI hopped over a fence, feeling the water splash on my calves as I dashed away. My white lab coat flapping in the wind as the sound of sirens wailed in the distance. I couldn’t hold back a Cheshire smile as I dashed away, slipping into an alley way and pressing my back against it, the police cars and FBI vans speeding by. I was breathing heavily, wiping the sweat from my eyebrow, looking closely at the item I held tucked under my arm. I held a large cylinder, the contents glowing a magnificent ray of blues and greens. I buttoned up my lab coat, hiding the container inside and quickly ran for it. I arrived to my destination, a run down shack it seemed from the outside. I knocked softly against the door, feeling a small compartment open up, revealing a key board. I typed in my password and the door fell open. “Welcome back Sprx 77.” A computer voice said as I walked in. “Good to be back.” I replied. The door closed behind me, I tossed my lab coat on a coat rack and down a tunnel, clutching the cylinder tightly. I came to the bottom, welcomed to a gleaming white lab, two stories from the under ground base I built years ago, mostly stolen lab equipment. I found myself in my large, black leathered computer chair, spinning around in it like a child just so full of excitement that I finally obtained my most needed specimen. I set it down and examined the cylinder, a code needed to be entered in order to open it. I tapped my fingers on my cold, metal desk, trying to think of any random code. “I’m bored…” I said suddenly, pulling out a small rectangular device, with various plugs sticking out. I found three plugs, plugging it into my device and the four digital numbers running through trying to break the code. I stood up, going down the stairs where the walls were aligned with giant tubes filled with a special chemical that I made myself that contained my….uh…children. I placed my palm on the glass, the frozen temperatures basically freezing every warm cell in my hand. As I wiped the fog away, I saw one of my recent creations slowly taking form, the flesh was beginning to come in and the eye lids were closed, showing some life. I drew a heart over my marvelous creature; I created it last month along with several other beasts. “Fiskerton.” I mumbled, looking at the creature that was closest to competition. I made this beast out of my pet cat Twinkle and a stolen gorilla I somehow managed to sedate by hitting its pressure point. It was on the brink of death when I was returning it to my lab "probably because I dropped it on its head on the way home when I was driving that stick shift I stole- but it was alive long enough for the process to begin. I tapped the glass, the creature slowly opening its eyes and its red eyes looking down at me. “Hi Fiskerton.” I said, tapping the glass again, he was fully formed and looked marvelous. The beast I had created placed his hand where mine was as if hoping to feel another being’s warmth. I giggled, he was so damn adorable. “You’re gonna be a good boy aren’t you?” I asked, Fiskerton only looking at me with those round, red beady eyes that really showed off his feline half. I doodled hearts on the fog of his case, knowing by tomorrow he’d take his first steps into the world. I kissed the glass and parted from it, feeling overwhelmingly happy. I checked on the other specimens. I had made blue and white rabbit with a round body and rather large head and long rabbit ears, his small eyes closed. He had a strange condition I hadn’t planned on, so to keep him alive I placed him in a red space suit that helped his breathing, large white gloves on its furry hands and large feet. I tapped the glass, my rabbit like creature opening its small beady black eyes, he was super damn adorable. “Rampa, that’s your name.” I said strictly, this one creature was the only disobedient one. He glared at me, sticking his tongue out at me making me irate. I tapped the glass, a punishment because these glass tubes were so sensitive when filled with a fluid, making a horrible sound bounce from its walls. Rampa covered his ears, as best as he could with that helmet on his head. “You should just listen!” I said angrily. A then heard a beeping noise, turning away and finding that the container was finally opened. I raced back to my desk, holding the cylinder in my hands. “It’s open! Oh this is like Christmas but better because I’m actually got something!” I said happily. I popped open the cap and looked inside. Inside was a small, glowing slug that wiggled at the bottom. I took out a pair of gloves, slipping them onto my hands and took out my experimental clippers. I picked up the slug, which wiggled vigorously as if trying to escape. I held it in the light, examining the exoskeleton. “What an interesting life form.” I mumbled. “Only a hatchling but its growing rapidly, it’s not even an insect.” I set it on a tray and took out a magnifying glass and looked at it closely, it tried scurrying away but I strapped it down to the tray. I could hear it crying almost, blue spots suddenly appearing on its back. I took a small knife and took a sample, quickly healing the tiny scab (don’t want to hurt the precious specimen) and set it in a new cylinder, one attached to my desk. The cylinder was see through, filled with a special fluid that would help is grow faster. I put it in, it floated in the center feeling relaxed, the blue spots disappearing. “I need to guard it.” I said, looking around. “It won’t be long till the FBI catches up with me. Kung fu won’t help and so far only a few of my creatures are near competition… I’ll need weapons.” An idea suddenly popped in my head, me pushing away from the desk and rolling to my laptop. A billion plugs were plugged into it, giving me most information so I could find specimens from US labs. I looked around, finding a weapon convention. The great Seichii would be there, with her hand made weapons. I rose from my seat and took off my lab coat. I walked towards my exit, pulling on a black cloak and head out.
It wasn’t very shocking when I arrived to a club, easily getting in. I came to a large crowd of people, all wearing identical cloaks like mine. I looked around, observing all the weapons they had displayed for high prices. Most of the weapons were too big a bulky, needing a belt of ammo. I was looking for something small, easy to carry and something that would suit my taste. That was when I saw them, twin silver guns with skull designs and black handles, they were perfect. “What, you like ‘em?” a voice asked, catching my attention. Looking up, I hound a tanned skinned girl with lavender eyes, unruly grey hair and wearing a muscle shirt (a shirt that really showed the size of her busts, jerk!) and baggy pants with a large bulky belt with bullets around them. She had fingerless arm warmers on her arms and a large, long purple scarf around her neck. She looked down at me with a challenging look. “Yeah, these are really well made. You make them?” I asked, trying to sound innocent. “Yup, my latest work.” She said. This must be Seiichi… I thought then asked “How much?” “They’re not for sale.” Seiichi said bluntly. “Then why’re they here?” I asked, getting aggravated. “So b*****s like you will get jealous.” Seiichi said smugly, something inside me suddenly snapped. But I held myself back, I had experiments that needed to mature; I couldn’t afford prison. I only gave her a menacing, Cheshire smirk and said “You’ll regret calling me a b***h.” “I’ll be waiting.” Seiichi said, matching my smirk. Everyone in that room could feel the rivalry between us. I soon turned away and disappeared through the door. Eight Hours later Everyone was cleared out of the convention, all besides Seichii who remained where she was. I sprung into action; I dialed the numbers of the police sounding rather innocent, even adding sobs. Calling them was a dangerous task because I was on FBI’s most wanted. They arrived soon, I could see the shocked expression on Seiichi’s face as the cops grabbed hold of her, but she fought back; brutally I must add. “Thank god I didn’t take her on.” I mumbled, giggling slightly when I saw her throw one of the policemen and he smacked into a window, sliding down leaving small rives of blood. I went into action then, going inside the air vent and crawling in. I spotted the guns, digging through my pocket and pulling out a grenade. I unlocked it and threw it down, pulling a gas mask over my face. The grenade exploded, sending a gas through the air. I broke through the air vent, all the people inside going to sleep. I crept in, throwing a rope down and shimmying down till I arrived to the guns. I took off the case and grabbed them both along with their ammo; they felt so light in my hands. “You!” I heard from behind. Turning I found Seiichi, folding a large dagger. For the first time in years, I was scared I was gonna die. I quickly ducked, she sliced at the wall and got the blade stuck giving me the opportunity to run out the door. It was blocked at first but I rammed it with my shoulder to force it open. I ran, only running into a spotlight, I froze. “Cosmoses Satoshi Lovington, we have you surrounded.” A male voice echoed. I backed into the wall, trembling. I looked to my left, finding a broken pipe. I jumped, grabbing on and swinging myself onto a metal staircase. I ran up till I reached the roof, the FBI members following me. I loaded the guns, shooting down the members and each of them going down like flies. I bolted, jumping rooftops and trying to go unnoticed; sort of hard when sirens are blaring, helicopters flying overhead shining spotlights down on you. I soon slipped down and into an alleyway, hiding in the shadows. They went right past me. I ran back to my lab, knowing my time was running out.
I arrived back to my laboratory, locking the door behind me. The adrenaline hadn’t left me yet, so I quickly went down, not caring that I knocked over books and my laptop which suddenly shorted out. I ran to a large red button, pressing down on it. All the tubes suddenly unlocked from the restraints and fell to the floor. I ran to each and everyone of them, seeing which ones were the closest to completion; only five out of the twenty that I created. I went to Fiskerton, releasing him first. He was dripping wet, shaking the fluids off him and looking around. I unleashed Rampa as well, along with a star shaped one with bright blue eyes, a little pudgy whom I name Starfy. The third was a grass type, having shape making it look superior, almost like a dragon with a serpent like body and no arms or legs with red slit like eyes, I named him Leo. Last a winged hippogriff, I had read about it in a book, he was absolutely gorgeous but dangerous as well; I named it Mystique. There was suddenly a rumble from outside. I went for my newest specimen, grabbing the container and handing it to Fiskerton. “Take care of it!” I ordered. Fiskerton took the cylinder, suddenly tears streaming from his round eyes. I looked at the others and said “Run away….as soon as I open the hatch, run and never come back.” There was another rumble along with the sound explosions. I pulled a lever, the ceiling opening up. “GO NOW!” I screamed, my creatures bolting for the opening. As they escaped, the door gave, the explosions causing it to be blown off its hinges and shot across the room. I looked up; the FBI had caught up with me. “Well, well, well,” an all too familiar voice said mockingly. A boy stepped forth, wearing a sleek black suit with black hair, his bang covering one eye and he had tanned skin. I glared and mumbled “Dominic…” “The one and only.” Dominic said. “Now ‘Sprx’ you’ve been on the run for years now haven’t you…But your crimes will not go unpunished.” I suddenly sprang, trying to land a kick on him but he blocked it. I tried punching and swing kicking but he easily dodged them. My eight years of tiger style kung fu seemed worthless compared to his amazing skill. He suddenly grabbed my ankle, flipping me till I found the world spinning; I was slammed onto the ground. As I tried getting the world around me to stop spinning, I saw the FBI members taking all the unformed creatures I spent months making. I tried getting up, only to find myself pinned down with my arm up and bending at a horribly angle- my shoulder was sore from my slamming it against the door. “Kill them all.” Dominic ordered. I saw them take out little explosives, killing every single one of them. I watched in horror as every one of them was killed, before my very eyes. “Dominic, there appear to be five missing.” One said. “Well of course, they’ll be breeding the planet then come back to kill every one of you damned humans.” I said angrily, a cackled. The FBI member stomped on my head, causing me to get a bloody nose and bleed; I bit my lip by accident. I continued laugh, saying “You scared to be over ruled?” He stomped on my head harder, only making my laugh harder. “Shut it witch!” He yelled. “Stop it!” Dominic ordered. The man moved his foot from my head and Dominic released my arm. I was about to shove him off till I felt something sharp be injected into my neck. All feeling left my body, my body feeling heavy. I closed my eyes and drifted to a blackened sleep. © 2011 Imagination-mage |
