Slipping Down to DarknessA Poem by Imagery
I'm slipping down to darkness
As this pain eats my resolve. I am digging in my heals, Desperately clawing at the walls Until my fingers bleed. I'm screaming toward the surface, Begging for someone to momentarily Set their baggage aside And lend me a free hand. But no one has a hand to lend And I am slipping further down.
