Slipping Down to Darkness

Slipping Down to Darkness

A Poem by Imagery

I'm slipping down to darkness
As this pain eats my resolve.
I am digging in my heals,
Desperately clawing at the walls
Until my fingers bleed.
I'm screaming toward the surface,
Begging for someone to momentarily
Set their baggage aside
And lend me a free hand.
But no one has a hand to lend
And I am slipping further down.

Writing is the words we speak when we can't speak with tongues. So the words we write does it for us.

I like it, and that it speaks how you felt at the time is the point of writing a poem. Keep it up. Only typo I saw was I think you meant heels not heals.
