Untitled Poem About A Drug Addict Leaving For Rehab

Untitled Poem About A Drug Addict Leaving For Rehab

A Poem by trippy kitty
"

The title says it all

"
In a couple of years I will be fine.
In a couple of months I will stop
blowing my mind.
In a couple of hours I leave to fulfill
my promises that I never kept.
In a couple of minutes you will hug me and cry.
I will tell you I'll come back alive,
healthy,
and bright with a clear mind,
but it's hard to tell when your life has
been missing.

One never lives, or truly loves, until they are honest with themself.

yeah. the road to heaven is paved with good intentions. They are always in tomorrow. I guess grace is something that has to come from outside of ourselves. A gift from something greater than ourselves. All anyone can do is keep trying. Thanks.

When you clear the brain of drugs and the booze. World can be better sometime. A hard battle to overcome addiction. I like the ending to the excellent poem.
