Why are there secrets?

Why are there lies?

All it will lead to

is your demise

You carefully hid 

your precious 'treasure',

traded in gold 

for what you thought better

But it's trash! it's useless!

You were deceived

What you have lost,

You cannot retrieve

You have crumbled

what can't be restored

My faith, my trust,

you have ignored

Preaching of dawn,

you walked in dusk

And now, I'm afraid,

...leave you, I must.

To me it's hard to trust someone who lies to you and keep secrets, but I think it even harder to leave them, especially if you love them so much even though they broke your trust. Very well written, I can relate of broken trust it hurts. But hey we all get stronger and better and those people that hurt us are gone and try to move on and learn from them and yourself. I love this poem.
