A Song of HopeA Poem by Just Another WriterA message from God to those who are struggling.
Here's to the girls with scars on their wrists,
or those whose hearts men like to twist Here's to the ones who are giving up, tired of the rattling pills in their cup Here's to the ones who struggle at night, The ones about to give up the fight. Those just trying to pay the bills, who gaze with longing at cemetery hills Don't give up, the battle's not won You're focused on the clouds, and you can't see the sun It's coming, I swear, just take my hand We'll walk together to the promised land There's a place for us -- for you and me But sometimes it's too dark to see So in that moment of despair, when everything in life seems unfair Run to me and I'll give you peace, Lighten your burden, your sadness cease There's hope out there for everyone, for He is the father, and I am the son. My yoke is easy, and my burden light, My everlasting love is infinite. So those who struggle to survive the day, I'm at your side, through the disarray. Remember my name, remember my love, for I am your father up above.
