I'm Fading

I'm Fading

A Poem by Just Another Writer

Things change
And scars fade,
Now only thin lines
Just barely there,
Only if you squint.
But sometimes
I wish
They would stay
So I can have
At least
A little bit of
Assurance
That the memories
That didn't fade
With them
Were, in fact,
Ever
There
At all.

Very simple poem but an unfathomable amount of depth, I feel like I can relate to this on such a deep level, especially right now. Great write:)
