A Refreshing Run.A Story by Just Another WriterJust a random personal narration. No big deal.
Her inky tresses fly wildly behind her as she sprints, each footfall beating out thoughts that plagued her mind for ages. Soon, all she was conscious of was the satisfying thud of sneaker on trail, and her steady, paced breaths. She missed running more than she originally thought -- or mostly its ability to completely exhaust her, every muscle tingling with satisfying ache afterward.
There was a certain freedom in running that most people failed to see. When she ran, all was in her control. If she wanted, she could push herself until her legs gave out, or simply jog at a leisurely pace and enjoy her surroundings. She could count breaths instead of faults, and focus solely on her destination. Slowing herself to catch a few breaths, she looked toward her house, only to find it out of sight. She contemplated running another mile, but eventually decided it would be best to return by dark. Things had a way of getting exponentially creepier after the sun went down, and she'd rather not stick around. Gulping down a few more breaths of air, she picked up her stride again until she felt like she was soaring. She lived for moments like this. She didn't care if she was alone..she would make it anyway.
