Mouthful of Splinters

Mouthful of Splinters

A Poem by Rob Santana

Hypocrites squatting on thrones of prominence
Blessing Godless people with the mark of the beast,
Elite devils speaking in tongues as the world watches
Church and state fornicate
Judgement day hovers,
Slowly my OWN secrets are uncovered
I don't recognize myself anymore
I am rotten to the core
Scripture I leave at home,
Prayer I bury in my minds catacomb
Life is a haze of freewill
Come on give me more then one pill
Let's walk together, hand in hand, downhill
We all know what's coming
Destruction for our shortcomings
Judgement for our faithless lives,
Our malicious lies,
The beginning of the end is here............

I have no idea where you live but this is very much what we have been experiencing here in AZ....around the country as well, probably. I can relate all too well.

Thank you!!! I am truly grateful for your visit and kinds words.
wow, Rob...i really like this piece...at least here the speaker is brutally honest and self-defecating...something the church might think about becoming...it's just cover up after cover up...pretentious and high and mighty---
let's tell the truth for once.

excellent, thoughtful piece.
