Sands of Wisdom

Sands of Wisdom

A Poem by Rob Santana

Earth and Moon
Frozen in time
Insomnia fills the eyes
Of lost souls
As death roams high
Silence can be heard
Mystic inspiration
Resides
In the minds of the oracles
Visions of majestic peaks
Clearly seen
Rising sun,
Omens revealed,
A young child
Chosen to journey
Beyond the mystic land
To seek out
The river of visions for answers
Meditating peacefully,
Omen's begin to answer...
Sadness fills the heart
Of the young boy
The omens speak,
"As long as ignorance prevails,
peace will never reign"
The earth
Continues to receive karma
Through bloody arrows,
The winds are weak,
Unable to carry sands of wisdom
Hence we lack
Symbols rich in meaning
The wheel of time
Counts down waves of doom
Clouds of fear
Rape the skies
Blackened
The heavens become
Hope and light
No longer shine through
Hate and lies
Consume the earth
Suspicious voices
Fuel demonic thirst
Giving birth to an uprising curse
That binds mankind
Unable
To release
They're blazing cries
The abyss of fears
Confines they're tears
The invasion
Of anger and frustration
Kept us prisoners
Concealing our peaceful visions
Now we have been
reduced to silence,
Frozen in time
Nothing left but a planet
Filled with misery.....

Thank you K.
Another well written piece, Rob You write with such a dark cryptic style, deep with such meaning, a unique style I truly admire. "The river of visions"...4 words that left a feeling of melancholy, hopelessness, imagery that set the tone for the entire poem, longing to understand your wisdom. Truly a remarkable write, my friend. Looking forward to reading much more from a talented poet.

*I hope all is well with you*
You are penning a prophecy... It will come to pass unfortunately. Your words should be headed however, so those who would speak love could do so while we yet have a voice within our spirit to do so.
Great write here Rob. :)
I enjoyed this read.

Thank you very much David. Glad you enjoyed this one.
even as much as the young boy might have been sent down to save us...this planet holds little hope of saving, it has become one of darkness and misery...frozen in time....

nicely presented here...allegorical in form, strong in theme.

Yep. You are welcome...:)...............
Very deep. Geez... Way to look on bright side. :)
Does seem sometimes though as if we're picking up momentum to go crashing into that wall.
Good thought provoking piece.

I feel the same way Ana. Just seems as if we as humans are headed for a deadly train wreck. Hope I'm.. read more
This is so deep. The world is going to hell and there's nothing anyone can (will) do about it. This piece is filled with dark melancholy and hopelessness. My favorite line was "the river of visions." I drew such imagery from that. Your words express images of dark crimson. You are the master of this genre.

There is wisdom in your words... I was drawn in by the melancholy tone. (Perhaps the mood I'm in today). You are very talented. I'm so glad I stumbled across your poetry. I will definitely be back to read more of your work.
