DECADENCE

DECADENCE

A Poem by Rob Santana

The battle to crush my sanity rages on

Malicious forces of immorality hover over me

Like violent burning skies,

I stand before an altar of bedlam

As they await my submission

The enemies of my mind have no compassion.................

They are just in your body, soul and mind, I see, they talk to you in every day, they give you advice on what to write, they whisper you the not silent night.... ;-) awesome brother... loved it, you never stop to amaze your little Sis. here, I love your dark and brilliant mind.

De nada Hermano! Te quiero always xx
I enjoyed this because it reminds me of the constant battles of tug-of-war within someone's mind, or of course your own. Whether the "evil" trying to ruin the sanity of someone is stress, society, and or maybe even the dark thoughts people, and you battle daily. I can understand this quite well. It was short, sweet, but got the point across. Good read.

Glad you liked it. Thank you Kimberly.
Sick! Hope they are lyrics. Keep up the good work and you'll do well as long as you write more lines like the last one.

Thanks KL, I already know this one will be a while before I continue it.
You sound as I had once, a battle tamed and bruised man of the field. And you explain the pain that is far to honest for most. I liked this. Just wondering if we ever met on the field, what!

Gracias Lady Kora.
Whoa. This one is pretty intense. I really dig the 4th line though. For me, that's such a visceral image. it's like reading a book or watching a movie about this epic, terrible war, between humanity and legions of demonic forces, seeing the "hero" before this altar, striving to triumph for "good". And then, the movie/book pulls back, and you discover, it was all in his mind.

Well done. Really wanna see the continuation of this.
