Abusing ancient incantations

To commence inconspicuous attacks

 

Voodoo influence slowly emerges from the ground

Chainsaw decapitations colouring the land black

 

Ripping off their outer skin

Exposing their true identities

 

Eyeballs tortured by acidic blindness,

Needles violently puncturing souls,

 

Back stabbing illusions framing the innocent,

 

Supreme power is at hand,

 

The witch hunt has begun....

I find the older I get the less scary stuff I can handle. When I was a teen I would watch all kinds of dark stuff, it was all I would watch. I went through a Faces of Death phase, of course now I hear that it was all fake. Anyway, I'm off on a tangent. This poem paints a picture of what I am missing however, I don't think I could handle this show nowadays. Now I just feel like an old bat!

Your words evoke very powerful images of horror and the power of the dark. One who abuses ancient incantations does not know the danger they are bringing unto themselves. Witchcraft is real, though many would say otherwise, and call it superstition. Yes, there are haunted places, ruled by powers of darkness. I agree with Muse in that we are reminded and should seek the good when we understand how evil the other side is!!
The macabre is fascinating and as you know I too write of it, but I am always glad to come back to the love and joy of the light!
