Love it -- a perfect poem. And hurray for Stephen King. Now as to movie versus book, sorry Jack, the book is much better. What about the Friend's episode where Joey puts the book in the freezer! Ha. And Red, me too -- except Doctor Sleep, that is still by my bed.

Kl...i've read The Stand eighteen times...lmao!! You know its my favorite!!
I adore Stephen King and the Shining is one of the best movies...well mainly the original. The remake was good, but it didn't scare me like the original did. Actually I was a young kid when I first watched it and didn't quite understand it, but years later I watched it again after many years of not watching it and now it makes complete sense. But as a child my mom was a huge horror fan and let us watch whatever horror movie which might explain why I am so warped. ^^* But aside from my blabbing I found this poem to be a excellent salute to the movie.

My aunt would let me and my cousins watch any horror flick as well. But I'm sure my fathers stories of his time in vietnam that he branded on my brain did do any good,oh I failed to mention FACES OF DEATH videos that I used to watch at a real young age.
Wow :D this was awesome. Man am I a fan of your work. This totally described the movie in 6 lines and that too with such creativity and power. Diabolical intentions begin to manifest ;D what word choice brother, insane! I can picture the twins running around now lol. Genius!

Shelley Duvall was AMAZING in that movie. Her eyes add such a unique quality to her acting. It's been a l-o-n-g time since I've read a acrostic poem. I find the format to be oddly refreshing. Plus it works perfecting with the tribute. So much emphasis was placed on "redrum" in the movie so the emphasis on this word in the poem speaks true to the original motion picture. Then your poem is fantastic on it's own. Like the flow of ones mind falling into the darkness of murder. I also like the choice of diction. Nice job :)
