R.E.D.R.U.M.

A Poem by Rob Santana
"

Acrostic write #2

"

Running from the frightening apparitions and visions

Echoes of malice erupt in his mind

Diabolical intentions begin to manifest

Raging insanity, blood consumes the Overlook

Unaltered telepathic predictions exposing

Murderous acts for permanent residency

Love it -- a perfect poem. And hurray for Stephen King. Now as to movie versus book, sorry Jack, the book is much better. What about the Friend's episode where Joey puts the book in the freezer! Ha. And Red, me too -- except Doctor Sleep, that is still by my bed.

Every time I see an acrostic I always think "Jesus, what are these things called again" Thanks for putting it in your intro. I saw that movie. That actress sure knew how to make a terrified face. It's no wonder she got that roll and jack, well, no one does deranged lunatic quite like Jack. Good acrostic bro. Thanks

This is one of my favorite movies too! You've captured the essence of the story in these 6 lines. REDRUM was one of the scariest scenes too. Stanley Kubrick brought this Stephen King story to life, it was scary as hell and the remakes can't even compare. This write is very cool, brother.

Lady Pryde!!! That got a smile.
Interesting development within the lines --- of this acrostic...and by your author's note of the movie and all...you could actually read this forwards and backwards...and still make sense of it...just wonder if any one else noticed that in the verse...Good day...
