Killer thoughts

Killer thoughts

A Poem by Rob Santana
"

Now I lay me down to sleep, and all these spirits start to creep...

"
When I lay myself down
The invasion of my mind begins
The darkness outlines
Evil grins

These evil spirits constantly
Pushing me to double up on my sins

Demons in my mind
Engraving thoughts of death
I can smell the devils acidic breath

Lucifer's on top of me
Doing the dance of death

With my eyes closed
I can see the cloaked one
Grab my wrist

I open my eyes
And see a black mist

Twisted disgusting thoughts
Of violent murders
Spill into my hemispheres

Spirits hovering above me
With bright golden eyes

Whispering amongst themselves
About my demise

I try to move
But I'm paralyzed

I try to scream
But I am mute

These entities

Continue to pollute
my mind
With images of me
Slaughtering
My family

I suddenly hear a voice say
"Death and suicide are on your side"

These killer thoughts
Start to subside

My eyes get heavy
I finally fall asleep

Now

The

Nightmares

Start to creep..

I know more than you know....as a teenager I saw things...felt things. And when it finds you...it messes with you forever. It has gotten better over the years. But I know what you pen about through poetry is not always fantasy. I really don't talk about it much, because I'd rather forget. But I know you are not crazy my friend. There is a real life battle going on between good and evil. I truly believe light will always win in the end...but unfortunately it doesn't make the struggle any easier.

Do you mean encounter of thoughts or spirits? I read your other poem about Shadow People and you said that you often see them. Anyways Its very interesting although , I express my sympathies if it is all troubling for you.

I really like this poem. It reminds me of a song I really like called "Midnight Mist" That revolves around the same subject. I just love your words Creeper. You write in a beautiful and intelligent way.

"I can smell the devils acidic breath
lucifer's on top of me doing the dance of death"

Brilliant my friend.

well, i don't know if this was intended because i haven't scrolled down to other reviews but...i get the distinct impression we are talking about the amityville thingy in this write. i have driven by the house in amityville on a couple of occasions and it is just a normal looking house, but it is the genuine article, according to the stories. awesome and chilling piece of writing here, creeper!

The first thing that came to mind was Ronald DeFeo Jr. The young guy that killed his whole family in the Amityville house. Thus starting all the controversial paranormal horror there. He was convicted of six counts of second degree murder.
I wondered if this is what it had been like in his sleep at night.

Very descriptive, it surely draws you in like a fly to the spiders web. Once ensnared, there's no turning back...
