Mercy and GraceA Story by Kimberly MillerWhat exactly do mercy and grace mean and how are they different, the answers may surprise you. My take on these two spiritual vocabs.Although Mercy and Grace are often thought of as the same thing or even similar, perhaps if we dig deeper into their definations, we will discover the truths behind these ever-present words of wisdom. Grace, found in the dictionary is explained to be a divine inspirational act from one being to another. Yet Mercy is explained as a human act showing undeserved kindness from one being to another. I believe that Mercy is more of a humanistic term, while Grace is a divine term, not saying that humans can't show Grace, but perhaps it comes more from God than ourselves. Perhaps when one desires to show undeserved kindness in general, one is lead to show Mercy, but I believe when religious and spiritual things are involved, Grace is given from God, divinely, and He allows us to channel it to other. Nothing is of ourselves, but everything comes from God. © 2015 Kimberly MillerAuthor's Note
