DeathA Poem by Kimberly MillerDeath's description.
Death No family is left untouched No heart is left unshattered When he leaves his latest assignment Each soul is truly battered,
He is hated by all And loved by none Though he knows what he does Does he know the damaged that's been done? He finds his next assignment And watches from a distance As the car rumbles by He moves to take his stance, The car suddenly swerves and veers Yes its him, its Death And with a finally turn, the car hits another And the people inside take their final breath He walks over and inspects it all grimly He notes the mother, the father, the child But before he leaves, and continues on He notices the forest, the animals, that wild, Although we cannot see him They, the creatures can And its all that they can do To stare at him and stand, He watches them with anger They cannot understand But their eyes are not find with anger But with pity for him, for him and man, For though we all must live together And deal with death and loss, animals and man Perhaps the greatest treasure of all Is to know that there is hope, to see them once again.
