Black Cat

Black Cat

A Poem by Awaken the Sleepwalker

That one upside-down penny
I know how it must feel
It turned MY life upside down
This bad luck may never yeild

Mirrors made of salt
and white streaks from great horror
These superstitions and I
shall engage in a violent war

So I'll break the longer wishbone
and I'll carry a rabbit's foot
I wont lock myself away
I refuse to just stay put

I face the world with a skip and a smile
But dilegently avoiding cracks
You cannot control me
I'm finally out of your tracks

it's funny how the smallest, slightest things can make us wary.

Pretty interesting topic!

Hadn't read anything about superstition before, so points for originality!
