Inspiration

I was having trouble finding inspiration for a poem, so I thought. Why not, write a poem about inspiration.

The light bulb above my head goes off

It flashes, it shines

It grows so bright my scalp burns

The light disputes that of our sun

Till the heat is too much

and the bulb bursts

and my ideas flow through out the world

Nice imagery. The flow and rhythm don't really do it any justice. It just doesn't have an inspirational flow and the transition from each line isn't very smooth. The imagery and concept are great though.
