Take a good look

Take a good look

A Poem by Daisha

Take

A

Good

At

Me

Do you remember what you see

A girl's heart that you broke, ripped, stomped on purposely

Yeah, the expression on your face tells me you do

And I can admit that I was so naive that I let you

You kept me down

Made me feel like you was the only person I would need

Or maybe it was your mind games

Or my mind frames

Because the times changed

And I felt like I was the one to blame

So take another good look at me

I feel so free, so relieved, so blessingly happy

Now you can turn your head and saw that I'm nothing without you

But im proudly standing on my feet

Big vrown eyes, long hair, yeah, now I'm someone's black queen

So take another good look at me

Because it's your loss now

This is all that you will ever again see.

Poem is powerful. Strong and to the point. The description and details were very good. So many strong statements in this poem. Woman needed to be treated with respect and kindness. Your ending was outstanding.
