Elephant with Many Eyes

Elephant with Many Eyes

A Poem by Billy Sullivant

My mind, which has been blown out from my skull,
is wide open. Take a look inside.
Now let's take a ride on the elephant with many eyes.
Inside the world with purple skies.

As the walls that conceal your brain fade away.
Ride the only ship in your sea.
Inside your time of insanity.
Sailing for a year within a day.

It's time to take a ride.
On the elephant with many eyes.
Induce the insanity
till the day you die.

Realize your phobias.
Falling from the cliff of oblivion.
Draped in your fears.
Tainted blood falling like tears.

Your eyes go through your ears,
to see what you hear.
Under the bed, waiting for you,
to drop you into the pits of sorrow.

Let's ride the elephant
with many eyes.
Let's all count down
till our demise.
