TalismanA Poem by Abhra
This is as much about nothing.
As it is about things that do not feature. This is about all the commas, pauses in speech and the halts in breath a poem can muster. A poem made of words that tread and pause. Pause and remember. Kiting somewhere between forgetting and giving up. This is a place rife with sentences that run like railway tracks and disappear into interstices. Sometimes you come across an unhurried bunch of yellow flowers beside them. As a reminder. This is a poem about many things. About digressions.About being careless like rainfalls. About drawing silence contemplating the different ways in which I cannot say I love you. About all the instances in which a poem travels to you but falters to knock on your door.
