The Twisted Man

The Twisted Man

A Poem by Elijah Michael Madden
"

Lamentations of solitude; a quest for love in a broken man

"
There is a twisted man
Looking for twisted love
He climbed a twisted tree
To muse from high above

There is a twisted man
Atop a twisted tree
He sits alone and says,
"There's no one quite like me"

There is a twisted man
Living a twisted life
His mind is twisted too
With all his work and strife

There is a twisted man
At the end of his days
Searching for twisted love
To give reason to stay

I like your poem. It has something nice in the game you play with the word "twisted". Stay. Life will get back to you and you will love again. Until then, try to heal your heart so when that moment comes you be able to see it.

I actually felt a kind of joy and hope in the word playing. And I totally get your point.
