I Am

I Am

A Poem by Elijah Michael Madden
"

lyrical poetry from the Self.

"
I am, always are, f'rever be
The one you love, you know,
You see
In your head, in your heart, close your eyes,
No--I'm, not dead

I think, so I am, so I try
Do or do not, I can,
I sigh
What's the point, my purpose, on this Earth,
Death, and birth

I'm not, anymore, or at all,
How could I let this be?
Be free
To be more, to be great, to be loved,
Yeah, love me.

Baby, come with me, you will see,
What this life has to give
We three
You and I, us and them, must learn to
live and die.

The End... The End... The End... The End...

I enjoyed this. I believe that how we view ourselves is in fact how we view the world around us. You and I are simply an empty canvas. A canvas with many drawings on it, but underneath, an empty canvas. A canvas free to paint whatever picture it wants; and free to remove whatever picture it wants as well. I have rather enjoyed the picture you've painted. Thanks for sharing, Elijah.
