Small Talk

Small Talk

A Poem by Holly

I want to say something real
I mean, bull s**t chit chat about the
weather has no genuine appeal

It's there to pass the flow
But who faithfully enjoys it? F**k, I
don't know

When's the last time you said
something true?
How many people did you know that
you never undoubtedly knew?

In a world closed with infinite digital
spiel
I must admit never have I looked to
the person on my right and told
them how I honestly feel

' I must admit never have I looked to ~ the person on my right and told @ them how I honestly feel..'
Why not? Wonder why people hesitate to speak openly, not unkindly, but avoiding the rubbish, the blather and 'just sayin'!

Truth in what you suggest, however.. seems in polite society we have to watch what we say and, in the process, lose selves to little white lies perhaps.. or become a touch submissive. Hmnn... what would you say to THA!?!

Enjoy the way you think... whether your writing covers outside your personal being or is the imagining poet, i don't know but you do think, juggle words in an open way by throwing curve balls!
