Push Away

Push Away

A Poem by Ikaria Icarus

Take your smile from me and seal my gaze,

Take your thought for me and seal my life,

Take my mind away and seal my thought,

Take my heart away and seal my fate,

Once,

I’ve asked for a heart in exchanged with mine,

But none I receive, and yet I gave mine,

For once we could share news,

But none anymore,

For you are happier to share with other you once lost.

I ask for a brief moment just to listen,

But you have none to give…..

Only to me.

Hang me out to dry,

Without words to ease the pain,

Without voice to soothe the wound,

Only silence to set me ablaze,

Shred me to pieces,

With smiles given unto others,

With news shared with your lost one,

With songs to lulls the one you lost,

And know, for I am tortured, depressed, dismayed.
