The Tragic Tale of GiuliettaA Poem by KimberleighBased off of Shakespeare's "Romeo & Juliet".O Romeo! O Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo? Whiter art thou Romeo? Thither art thou Romeo? Hither art thou not.
'Tis the tragic tale of Giulietta for alas I wait for my poisoned kiss, but never shall it come.
'Tis a tragic life I lead-- a life led for naught. Watch my lids kiss, my lips turn blue, my skin turn cold, and all for you, sweet Romeo.
Whyfore art thou Romeo?
They'll think me gone, and soon will bury me beneath your own two feet. When I awake 't'will be too late, and I'll be left to scratch at the walls surrounding me, encasing me 'til I can't breathe. And as I breathe my last, tragic breath I will whisper out your name
and I shall say: “O Romeo! O Romeo! Whither art thou Romeo? I love you--love you, Romeo! Help me--save me, Romeo!”
My eyes shall glaze, kiss once again. My poisoned kiss will be from death.
O Romeo! O Romeo! Please help me breathe, sweet Romeo © 2012 Kimberleigh |
