Do you know who I am?

Do you know who I am?

A Poem by Lorna

I am fearless.
But do you know who I am?

Thousands of you walk, each day, you touch my shoulder with your shoulder,
But do you know who I am?

You whistle as you smile, kind greetings of a sort,
But do you know who I am?

You may even speak some words at me,
But do you know who I am?

I am the diner, feeding off of your desperate hopes.
I am the crow that circles, waiting for your life to slip from this earth.
I am the drinker, the drinker that you drown when you swallow for your sorrow.

I spit,
I curse,
I yell,
I kill,

Do you know who I am?

I am evil, I tried to warn you.
Do you know who I am?

I like the odd tone of this and the myster behind it. I get the feeling you are trying to say we are all the same and yet belive we are all strangers.

I really, really loved this poem! It was quite scary, the descriptions of the 'who' sends chills up your spine and makes you want to look behind your shoulder. The idea of anything invisible to the human eye that is by us every day is a very creepy idea. As I am a believer in paranormal phenomena, this poem held extra weight. But I could be completely off to your meaning, either way, that is what I gained from it. Great poem!

This is an amazing poem. I personally took a message from it whether it was intended or not. The question "Do you know who I am?" Is an eerie kind of line. Its almost asking the reader if you are close to evil, do you know it well? I love that about this. I love the personification of "Evil" and implying that the people you pass could be evil. but im rambling. Excellent Twist;D 100/100

I like this poem. Started off sweetly and went into a different direction. I like the flow of thoughts and the very good ending. Thank you for the excellent poetry.
