Thief

Thief

A Poem by Lorna
"

A bit of an angry poem!

"
Thief
Can't make a line to express how I feel,
A thief came along, and started to steal,
He stole my heart, my head and my lust,
he stole my emotions, honesty, trust.

Ran away with them, never stopped running,
I didn't know he was bad, he didn't seem cunning,
He has them now, and so what can be done?
I Can't feel the moonlight, I can't see the sun.

How do I express how I feel when my feelings are burnt?
Stole by a man and never returned?
Theres no word for this empty state,
Theres no want, no need or hate.

Amazing oh my Gog! I am crying tears man this was so rhythmic. I could keep reading without the steadiness breaking. And one can also relate!

Great!

Agh the great art of deception! There is a heat behind these words that brings them to life. Only thing I'd say is it doesn't seem finished to my sensibilities, not a criticism, just feels that there is a further stanza hiding, waiting to be read.

And to think, rogues as dance partners, is all I've ever known....

Nice write! the rhyme scheme was pleasant.
