Sworn

Sworn

A Poem by Idyllwyld
"

If I were asked, I think this might be his oath. If it is, it will grow.

"

Come give me your glory,

Fore'r more, today and tomorrow.

Souls, come unto me.

Spirits, grant me your strength.

For mine is the empire,

And before me the Tower,

There is something that I must do.

I'll use you, but so I promise,

It shall not be wi'out reward.

I could abuse you,

But you will farther see.

It is no response,

That I gave up much,

And I fear being alone.

But, my memory fades,

And my heart is splintered.

I cannot afford to forget.

For no beast can scale the Tower.

No monster can ascend to the top.

No Weapon can be used, wi'out perspective.

Come show me your sigils,

Come give me your signs.

I don't ask you,

to follow me.

I don't demand of you,

anything.

But I will do what must be done.

What is done to me must be done.

And there is no taking back.

...But I would smile,

if you whistled along.

Author's Note

Idyllwyld
A work-in-progress. Consider this the first draft of an oath.
