Love Note From William to Barbara Ellen

Love Note From William to Barbara Ellen

A Story by Idylle Tristan
"

I got the idea for this from Barbara Ellen (Child Ballad 84) where william writes a note to barbara ellen but what is said in the note is only mentioned as being moving

"

Dear Barbara Ellen,

For seven long years I have pledged my heart to you. For seven long years you have scorned my love. Since the first I set mine eyes upon you I have loved you and only you Barbara Ellen. Despite your contempt my passion for you has not faded.

You are as the unspoiled flower, untouched beauty perfect and natural, every pedal sitting gracefully in place. Thine sapphire eyes do enchant me. The crimson waves that drift from your head does wash away all despair. Thy ivory skin that makes me yearn for your touch. Your fair complexion, with no other doth compare. In you I see only beauty. A wondrous angel, who hath forsaken the kingdom of the sky to taunt the hearts of men. Thy beauty is beyond all compare, that would make any poet weep. For truly no words can fathom to describe that which does enrapture me so. By putting my quill to the paper, I fear that in even attempting to describe you I have caused great offense.

I admire you much and wish to never leave you, but sadly that is why I write to you. Though you continue to forsake my love, in this moment I ask that you come to me. Barbara Ellen I am dying.

My Heart to You,

William
