The Winds of Change 

 

You can never know what to expect

when you ride the winds of change;

Life does not follow a set-out plan, 

and can, at times, be rather strange. 

It's ever-changing and unpredictable, 

like the narrative of a book; 

filled with unexpected plot twists

from where you don't expect to look. 

It takes time to accept the changes 

that we're forced to grapple; 

not every unexpected development 

is automatically a bad apple.

It offers opportunities to give our lives

a much-needed rebirth, 

and reflect on our decisions made

since we've been walking this earth.

So much truth in these wise words. Even now in my late 50's it still is constant uncontrollable change. Even in choices made they never pan out as expected. Every option in life has multiple scenarios that we have little to none control over. We can only hope the decisions are wise ones.
