Smile

Smile

A Poem by Ida C. Stavnes

I find myself smiling,

In a way I've never smiled before.

Just thinking of you does that to me,

It tingles all the way to my very core.

It's not an unfamiliar feeling,

but at the same time it is.

Just one happy moment can keep me going for days,

Didn't think I'd wander in this cheesy bliss.

The most soft kisses meets my lips,

And the strongest arms I've ever felt.

And the way you smile back at me,

That's all it takes to make me melt.

So thank you for making me feel this way,

Like there is nothing I can't do.

It makes you feel completely invincible,

Even though you know that isn't true.

But that doesn't matter,

For in your heart you know what's really true.

And the only truth that matters to me,

Is that I am this happy because of you.
