Unbreakable

Unbreakable

A Poem by Ida C. Stavnes
"

To my friend Ben - who always believes in me. Thank you for the beautiful person you are!

"
For now and for all eternity,
I’ll give myself away.
I will shout out the words for as long as I live,
So I’m sure they’ll come for a day.

How much I appreciate your caring and love,
Which is a sweet and soft as a baby’s skin.
An angel who must have been sent from above,
Who’s touch will reach my deepest place within.

A friend who’s better than any other friend,
Who will risk her own life just to save yours.
And never care if she goes down with the fall,
It’s about making connections, not closing doors.

She will reach down to the bottom of your soul,
And she can’t leave because she’s already there.
She’ll catch you in a moment when you’re scared,
And she’ll make you feel better without your fears.

At last I’d like to say to you,
You’ll never be more indispensible.
I could never live without you by my side,
Forever we’ll be " unbreakable.
