White Flag

White Flag

A Poem by Emme

I bite my tongue hard
Because you failed to hold yours
Better than blood in my mouth
Than tears on my face
Your words spill
Not in any poetic way
The just spill
On the floor
I walk away
You don't speak
Don't say you're sorry
And all I can do is wave the white flag

I am an English major, currently reading and obsessing over Paradise Lost. I've been going through a weird zombie phase lately (is there such a thing as a normal zombie phase?) more..
