The Leaf Wars

The Leaf Wars

A Poem by Emme

Dead leaves
Fought a battle with the ones still living
It was quite a war
The leaves were angry
The maples were angry
With the pine needles
Who had been poking the offspring of the sugar maple to death
So now the sugar maple are dead
For being weak and defenseless

This reminds me of leaves caught in a whirl wind..short and very nicely expressed.
