I have a confession

A quick poem the I wrote with very little editing due to the emotions behind it.

I have a confession

Have you ever stared someone in the eye and asked yourself why..

Why your yearning eyes seek her out from the rest of the world?

Why every time you see her,you smile?

Why your heart melts into a sea of desire?

But then you must ask yourself if it’s true.

If it’s an obsession or if it’s pure,

Or are you just falling to her devious lure?

We’ll never know

To anyone who believes in love though,

Take her by her hand and never let go.

Love is more than a risk or a chance

It’s happiness when there’s only sadness

Once you’ve let her go, she’s gone,

Whether you have done her right or wrong.

Forgive and forget so you can move on.

But love is far too strong.

I’ve only lost and never loved.

She’s the only one I want and need.

Only if I could hold her hand then I would never let her go.

But now it’s too late and my scars show…

I loved her but now i have to let her go.
