If I could just turn back the hands of time
To the day when I first looked in your eyes,
I'd live that moment over and leave behind
My shy fears that tried to tell my heart lies.
My fears would tell my heart to turn away
And hide my feelings because I can't know
The blissful joy of love to ever stay
And take root in my dark and weary soul;
But now, I know it's far too late for me
Because I lacked the bravery to tell
You what both of us knew was meant to be.
So now, I suffer in this flaming hell
Of bitterness between once complete hearts
