The Phoenix to the Turtledove

The Phoenix to the Turtledove

A Poem by IceDragonOfPluto
"

What the immortal phoenix says to his mortal turtledove

"
When I look for you and see it's too late,
I curse my gift of immortality
That binds my soul to this sad, lonely, fate
Without you near, my sweet serenity.
I soar above the clouds, but can't admire
This world without you beside me, my love.
Inside my broken heart, lingers the fire,
The spark of passion for MY turtledove.
We made this hellish world our very throne,
Setting upon the seat of happiness;
But now, I'm faced to live my life alone,
Wishing Death to return me to darkness,
But I beg you, please never let me rise
If I can't gaze into my true love's eyes.

The ending seems a little like it's cut off. LIke there's supposed to be more to it, but I don't know. It's your poem.
I like it, and the theme is quite nice. I love how you seem to rhyme so easy.
