Soliloquy of the Morning Star

'I hope to find the darkest pits of hell
where light can never reach this broken soul
tormented by a world that dared to crush
my dreams. You dare to lift your hands and speak
when you have kept me silent, all the while?
I've been abused for far too long to stay
silent. Like an a*s bridled to the plow
to till the lands of a lazy farmer,
I'm subjected to hate, to ignorance,
and labeled as a madman on the brink
of self destruction! You bind me to the chains

of society and culture in hopes

of ridding me from your hearts and your thoughts;

but like a ghost, I reappear each time:

a phoenix rising from the ashes of

despair and loneliness. I will regain

my honor and pride from you wretched fools

who cast me aside and left me broken

to rot and wallow in my self pity.

Give me a crown and I will justify

all of my actions with a single word:
"Slaughter!" Slaughter all those who dare to tread

on my goodwill. Slaughter all those who drilled

the steak of betrayal through my weak heart

and cut my flesh with swords of burning hate.

Slaughter all those who laughed at me and said

I was a bitter fool who'll never love.
Though I may never find a love to hold

or call my own, they all will wish they had

no love when they perish under my boot.

This world is but another stepping stone

crumbling, shaking before its mighty king.
Into darkness, this world shall be my hell,

and I, its Satan with unquestioned rule.

All those who laughed or broke their vows with me
shall feel my wrath, my unmerciful scorn;

but to the outcasts of this doleful world,

if you will pledge your allegiance to me

and prove yourself worthy of my favor,

then follow me and turn this world to ash

and drown our enemies in their own blood.'
