Tree of Life

Tree of Life

A Poem by IceDragonOfPluto

Bear forth the sweetest fruit's eternal life
And unlock the gates of eternity.
From thine highest branch, I may never reach,
Lies the secrets of immortality.
Oh tempt not my spirit with mocking pride!
Thy fruit did fall into my hands today.
With beauty rare, like heaven you must glow,
Devouring thoughts and feeding on my dreams.
What did I do to gain this foolish hope,
To never die and live for all of time?
All those I loved, in time they all must die;
And left behind, I'll be alone with you.
I stand this very spot, cursing your name
With bitterness and heaviest of hearts.

Wow, all I can say is put the fruit down and slowly back away from the tree. if you happen to still be in the highest branches just jump. When you hit the ground tuck and role. Good piece man, different for you. I like.
