Golden Emblem

Golden Emblem

A Poem by IceDragonOfPluto

Hath all the angels of the night caressed
every star that has shined down on thee?
Do lunar beams beckon your siren call,
lying gently upon your glistening skin?
Oh I must speak before the mighty Jove
and every god that rules Olympus, high.
This love I hold, I’ll prove by any means;
this love I hold, shall never fade away.
Oh beautiful Venus shall not compare,
her love, a wretch before my heart’s desire.
Oh I would pass by Charon’s boat to hell
and slay Cerberus at the mighty gates.
Yeah, I would cheat the threads of life, themselves,
stealing you from the mighty king of death,
playing a dirge to break his dismal heart.
For all the world shall know my burning love
that deeply rests inside my wanton heart.
One look into those loving, lustrous eyes
burns deep within like embers from the flame.
Your touch, a golden emblem to behold,
does give life to a dismal, love starved drudge.

This must be one hell of a woman. Obviously your love for her is absolute.

I swear, whoever you write all these poems for, she better feel pretty damn lucky.
