A Song to the Moon

Oh sing to me sweet songs of dreams,
A song of hope or fantasy;
Oh lift me up into your beams
To live in your serenity.
How oft' the night does bring relief
To weary eyes so full of ruth:
For with your beams that bring me peace,
I know in them, there's only truth.
When all the world is full of lies
That only seek to cause me pain,

In sable night's concealing shade,
