Outcast Sun

Outcast Sun

A Poem by IceDragonOfPluto

When as the sun does weep his outcast state
In world of night, where light there is but none,
The sun must learn to aceept his true fate,
That in this world, the sun shall be alone.
Alone, the sun does think upon the moon,
His secret love yet lives so far away.
The beams he shines arrive too late; For soon,
The moon must leave from night and fall to day.
Lamenting sun, reflecting misery
From loneliness in such a world so cold,
His soul is cursed for all eternity
To shine alone, without his love to hold.
"Oh moon! How oft' afar I see your face,
Wishing just once, I could feel your embrace."
