Envisioning

Envisioning

A Poem by IceDragonOfPluto

Envisioning every moment since last

We met and held each other in embrace,

My thoughts, my dreams, all remain in the past,
Dwelling upon your bright and lovely face.
If in the past I hold you close once more,
Then I shall gladly stay with you, my dear.
Keep me beside the one I most adore,

Great God, and I remain forever there;

And if the past must fade from memory,
Then in my soul, I know that I was loved
By you; and I will face this misery

Of emptiness, a lover never moved
To passionate delight, a sweetened kiss;

Only a man still filled with nothingness.

"And if the past must fade from memory,
Then in my soul, I know that I was loved"
such a heart wrenching write. To feel all this and be left with nothingness... you have penned these emotions well..xx
