You Are My Soul's Full Moon

You Are My Soul's Full Moon

At night, I look upon the starry skies
And make a wish to hold you close to me
So as to gaze into your hazel eyes
That soothes my heart and sits my spirit free.
When all alone under the lunar light,
I often long to kiss those lips of wine.
My greatest joy, my one only delight
Is but to say that you are truly mine.

How apt I am to suffer without you
As does the wolf when night turns into day.

You are my strength; You are my soul's full moon
To which I sing and bask under your rays.

Let me but dream our stars will coincide;
And when they do, in my heart you'll confide.

I love your writing style. It's more like the poets I love [ Emily Dickinson, Robert Frost, Shakespeare, etc. ]. Not like the way most writer's are today. The wording you choose is amazing.
