Love Has No MeaningA Poem by ICE
If I loved you anywhere near as much as I want to, Then the air will cease to provide oxygen for the lungs that I use To breathe you in. The ground Which i walk upon Will fail to keep me grounded, And I shall Defy gravity Like a balloon In the sky. I would upstage the birds singing their morning song to the wind, And the wind would Only sing for me. I would write sonets and non of them would be able to capture what we have and the words would be all wrong. I love that love has no true meaning; For if it did It most certainly could not possibly describe how I feel when you hold me, When you kiss my lips. Love is not a word capable of reataining what I feel for you. You who Challenges and laughs So freely at the sun and moon For they shall never know What we share. © 2009 ICE |
